There have been many weeks since the last time I hung around here. I mean to do some work on:
Canning (Abeni and I have canned tomatoes with basil, peaches. She did lots more and bought all the proper equipment even. We are thinking of getting a stand at the Farmer's Market to sell them. We'd make bank. Next year though so we can perfect our process.)
List Making (I have always been a list maker but I need to post some of my lists and have people add to them.)
Other Food News (Recipe for my favorite dish that I always make, and a new cupcake favorite.)
PS- After I posted this and mentioned my need for more list making, I got this email from my friend Anthony. I sent him a list of the lists I need to make, and then made those lists. To be continued but go ahead and send Anthony your lists too...
Dear Friends!
This is a formal invitation. The idea is very simple, but we're hoping
the outcome will be tremendous. Thing is, we need your help, because
it's kind of all about you. That's right, each and every one of you.
We are in the midst of creating a zine. The theme is love and hate.
And lists. You love lists, right? Or maybe you hate them. Put that
down. And while you're at it, put down a whole bunch of junk on a love
list and put down a shit-ton of stuff on a hate list and cram it all
in an envelope and mail it to us. It's as open and free as you want it
to be, but be sincere, for these seemingly arbitrary words are kind of
painting a portrait of you as a person, as it were. Hey, and if that's
sounds too heavy, just fuck around. We like handwritten lists, but if
your loves and hates come out better via typewriter or (for those with
little time to spare) e-mail, it's way better than nothing. We simply
want a million love and hate lists, to be published full-on
underground DIY style, coming out around the end of November. That
means the deadline is Halloween. I love Halloween. Now get to work,
brothers and sisters!
